Understanding Tooth Whitening
A beautiful row of white teeth is what most people would like. Unfortunately this does not exist naturally for everyone. There are also factors to mention that negatively affect the color of your teeth, like smoking and drinking coffee or tea. There are plenty of people for whom the color of their teeth really a problem. They dare not fully to laugh or to keep a hand to their mouth while laughing. For these people bleaching of the teeth may be a solution. If you go to a dentist it’s expensive, and not every insurance covers the cost of such surgery. A good alternative (but risky) is the self-bleaching your teeth.
Today there are many products on the market. You need only to know where to look. One way to whiten your teeth is with whitening mouthwash. With a liquid rinse of your teeth (about one minute per day) you can get teeth a few shades whiter. The disadvantage of this method is that it can work only if your teeth are only slightly discolored. The use of whitening toothpaste is a different way, but similar to rinsing. It works only with very slight discoloration. Actually, whitening toothpaste is better as a preventive measure.
The method I now want to go a little further into is the use of bleach kits. This is because it’s the safest way to bleach your teeth. The stains are removed by oxidation and the teeth are paler.
Determine in advance how white your teeth should be. Make sure that before you whiten your teeth, your tartar is removed. Your dentist can take care of all this. You will make sure that the entire surface thoroughly touched by the product. The same goes for brushing your teeth before you start treatment. By cleaning your teeth properly before bleaching, you ensure that the product makes good contact with your teeth. Importantly, up to two hours after bleaching do not eat or drink. It is recommended to wait 24 hours after treatment before smoking, and drinking coffee or wine. To protect your lips, you can rub them with Vaseline.
